Responsible gambling and where to find help

Gambling should stay a paid form of entertainment. If it starts to cost more money or time than you planned, the services below are free and confidential. You don’t need to have a “problem” to call: asking a question early is what they’re for.

Help lines by province

For the other provinces and the territories, the Responsible Gambling Council keeps a list of every line on responsiblegambling.org. Numbers checked September 25, 2026.

Age

You must be 19 or older to gamble in most of Canada, and 18 or older in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Spinsy’s own terms set 18 as its minimum; the provincial age still applies to you.

Limits and breaks at Spinsy

Spinsy’s terms route self-exclusion through its support: write to support@spinsy.com and ask for your account to be closed, and mention any other accounts you hold (clause 3.8). Withdraw your balance first, because clause 3.7 voids money left on a closed account.

Provincial self-exclusion programs, such as BetGuard in Ontario, cover the regulated sites of that province only. They don’t reach offshore casinos like Spinsy, so a request to the casino itself is the step that applies there. Blocking software on your devices can add a second layer.

Signs worth a call

• Spending more than you planned, or chasing losses to win them back.
• Borrowing money or using bill money to play.
• Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
• Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
